Gain = target LUFS − measured LUFS; projected true peak = measured maximum dBTP + gain. Enter integrated loudness for the whole programme and its maximum true peak, not momentary loudness or sample peak. Both loudness inputs support −70 to 0 LUFS; true peak supports −70 to +6 dBTP, including fractions. Positive gain raises the signal; a projected peak above 0 dBTP exceeds digital full scale. A delivery ceiling may be lower: check the specification yourself. This is a fixed linear-gain estimate, not limiting, compression, file processing, a loudness meter or a compliance test. Gating and later encoding/processing can affect results: remeasure the rendered file. The −16 LUFS example is not a platform recommendation. Display uses six decimals without intermediate rounding.

Frequently asked questions

What if the projected peak exceeds the delivery ceiling?

The requested gain alone cannot satisfy both constraints. Choose a different target or evaluate dynamics processing separately, then remeasure. −20 to −16 LUFS requests +4 dB; a measured −5 dBTP peak becomes −1 dBTP under linear gain. The tool never applies a limiter.
