State who starts, stops, and changes playback; whether the artist carries the device and interface; and whether the DJ is part of the act or venue support.

Draw the stage plot

Mark:

  • audience direction;
  • lead artist start position and movement area;
  • hype performer position;
  • DJ table, booth, or riser;
  • playback device and interface;
  • vocal microphone or spare position;
  • wedge or IEM destinations;
  • DJ monitor when required;
  • power at DJ and playback equipment;

Document vocal microphones and wireless

Vocal requirements

For each vocalist, include:

  • performer and role;
  • wired or wireless format;
  • preferred microphone or acceptable equivalent;
  • artist or venue provider;
  • handheld, headset, or stand use;
  • receiver output and console channel;
  • spare microphone;
  • battery responsibility;
  • monitor destination.

Playback

Document:

  • playback device and software only when operationally relevant;

  • file or media handoff policy.
