Define the visual result
A lighting tech rider is the section of a technical rider that communicates the artist’s lighting design, equipment, control, staffing, schedule, and venue interfaces. Replace general phrases such as full professional lighting rig with usable functions. If an exact model or mode is essential because of a show file, accessory, optical behavior, or control footprint, state that reason and name the person authorized to approve a substitute.
Color, focus, and cue information
Document any color restrictions, front-light preference, focus areas, shutter cuts, practicals, and audience-light needs. Then provide one of these cue workflows:

Treat haze, smoke, pyrotechnics, lasers, flame, confetti, and similar effects as separate approval items. For haze, confirm venue permission, device and fluid provider, fire-alarm procedure managed by the venue, operating limits, ventilation considerations, and who may run it. Never imply that an artist can disable safety systems.
